Large Scale System Deployments

Deploying Large Scale Systems can be costly and can stress your environment.

Our expertise combined with our Solution Design Process can help mitigate risk to your Large Scale Deployments.

Network Performance Monitoring System

A vendor of network services needed the ability to monitor performance of its internal corporate and retail networks. Information Network Corporation provided a solution design for each environment and led the deployment, implementation and tuning of infrastructure and networks. The resulting environments were the largest performance implementations of their kind covering over 60,000 devices, 3 datacenters, 160+ servers and 80 TB storage.

Large Network Management System

Information Network Corporation was engaged to provide a solution design to support the system’s main function of provisioning, monitoring and trouble-shooting network service for a large telecommunications company. The system consisted of a large number of Unix-based servers located at geographically diverse data centers with a high availability architecture. The application was java-based with a relational database. The Principal Solution Architect designed a multi-tiered system utilizing a “n+1” architecture for the application servers and an “Active-Active” database.

Large Data Warehouse

One company had the need to support a fairly small user community that had tremendous data requirements. The data warehouse contained information needed by legal to litigate the company’s lawsuits. The user community needed specific data available immediately while other data requirements were not as time critical. The Principal Solution Architect developed a three-tiered system architecture (Web, Application and Database), allowing each tier to grow independently. The Web and Application tiers were designed to handle a distributed, load balanced work load while the database was segmented into “data marts” and designed as “Active-Passive”.

Service Deployment - VoIP

A North American telecommunications company needed to deploy a VoIP service to maintain competitiveness. Unlike data communications, VoIP is a real-time service and requires a focused security infrastructure. The technical requirements forced the company to add facilities. The Principal Solution Architect determined that adding 2 new wings to geographically diverse data centers, each with a complex Internet facing architecture would meet the requirements. Global load-balancing / failover and Continuous Remote Replication (CRR) / Continuous Data Protection (CDP) provided the needed availability and migration services. The service architecture deployed contained dedicated network and security infrastructure including Session Border Controllers.

Metropolitan Area Network

A large networking company deployed a Metropolitan Area Networking service base on NMLI-2. The OSS requirements were to perform automated provisioning / activation, monitor fault and performance, store configuration and inventory as well as provide Customer Network Management. Information Network Corporation developed a solution design for the delivery of the infrastructure, network and operational capabilities to support the OSS services.

Large Element Management System

One large customer engaged Information Network Corporation with the need to proactively manage devices located at their customer sites. The customer’s requirement was to develop server based diagnostic and management tools to support bulk loading of network firmware updates to premise equipment. This initiative saved the company money in reducing the number of on-site technician visits as well as kept their customer premise equipment current. This program supported 10 million premise devices across a large, geographically diverse topology. The Principal Solution Architect developed a multi-site, geographically diverse, load balanced, highly available and secure solution to meet these demanding requirements.
