Internet Data Center #1
A large company sharing an Internet data center facility was spending $6 Million per year. Using the Solution Design Process Information Network Corporation saved this company $4 Million per year. The Principal Solution Architect analyzed the ROI (Return on Investment), estimated the cost savings, and provided a implementation schedule that met the customer’s timeframe.
Internet Data Center #2
The same large company liked the first internet center design so much, it commissioned Information Network Corporation to build a second Internet data center. This time the large company decided it wanted a multi-internet center strategy with global load balancing and failover for Disaster Recovery. Our Principal Solution Architect led the design and implementation of the second Internet center and again met the company’s budget and schedule.
Development and Test Lab Data Center
A large telecommunications department was responsible for supporting over 500+ developers with a lab consisting of over 725+ servers, 30 load balancers, multiple firewalls, reverse proxies, and almost a petabyte of on-line storage. The telecommunication company needed help reducing the time to build complex environment builds from several weeks to two. Information Network achieved the customer’s goal by standardizing on application architectures, improving processes, and deploying virtualization techniques. The reduction in time to build environments saved the telecommunications company time which resulted in additional schedule time for the project team.
Virtual Private Network (VPN) Implementation
A recently formed mobile telecommunication company needed a VPN (Virtual Private Network) to support over 30,000 employees work-at-home and off-site. The VPN implementation needed a consistent approach to the VPN-Client across multiple desktop configurations and across multiple cultures to deliver a quality, stable solution. In addition to the large scale of the VPN implementation, the telecommunications company elected its senior management to be the beta users of the VPN solution. Information Network Corporation successfully implemented the VPN solution, designing the end-to-end solution starting with Proof-Of-Concept through final delivery.
Data Center to Disaster Recovery Center
After a large merger and acquisition an international corporation with over 6,000 applications needed to move its North American Disaster Recovery facilities to a more centralized location. Planning and re-engineering the necessary infrastructure to use an existing data center gained in the merger, saved this company $22 million. Information Network Corporation planned and designed the necessary capacity, connectivity and migration to the new facility.
Data Center Move
A large consulting company needed to relocate two of it’s large development and test facilities to new locations in just three months. One environment consisted of over 180 servers and devices and the second facility consisted of over 130 servers plus desktops for the 100+ consultants. The large consulting company required as little downtime as possible while introducing a technology refresh on communications, security and network. Information Network Corporation designed the build-out and met the customer’s schedule, budget with no downtime.
VoIP Service Infrastructure Build Out
A North American telecommunications company needed to deploy a VoIP service to maintain its competitiveness. Unlike data communications, VoIP is a real-time service and requires a protocol-aware security infrastructure. The technical requirements forced the company to add facilities. The Principal Solution Architect determined that adding 2 new wings to geographically diverse data centers each with a complex Internet facing architecture would meet the requirements. Global load-balancing / failover and Continuous Remote Replication (CRR) / Continuous Data Protection (CDP) provided the needed availability and replication support. Dedicated Network and Security Infrastructure including Session Border Controller were used to support this service deployment.
Pre & Post Merger and Acquisition Activities
A large mobile telecommunications company acquired a like-sized company, also a mobile telecommunications leader. The newly formed company required specific merger activities to be completed within thirty days of Department of Justice approval. Information Network Corporation designed and implemented strategies and deployed enterprise changes to integrate the merged business needs.
